The Reflection Season 😌

Yaya dai, ?
For the past few weeks I have been doing a lot of reflection.
On myself.
On my family and friends.
On my brand and business.
On life in general.
, I am learning the act of solitude.
Hard but necessary if I really want to move forward with my life.
I also learned something new in the process...
There is a moment for stillness - staying still and doing nothing.
Use the stillness to reflect on your life's purpose and how you can improve it.
I highlly recommend you do so once in a while, .
You will feel rejuvenated when you finally come out of the reflection season.
However, be warned...
If you are not careful, your stillness period can turn into laziness and complacency.
Be careful not to fall into that trap, .
It may take you a long long time to crawl out of that hole.
During your moment of stillness try doing the following:
Journaling - Write down how you feel at that moment. It helps you dump down all your emotions. Therapeutic indeed.
Listen or read inspiration books - I just finished reading "Just As I Am" by the late Cicely Tyson. What a beautiful memoir. You can listen to the audiobook on Scribd.
Communicate with your Maker - Read your devotional and bible. Pray to God daily. I confess that sometimes I take this for granted. But whenever I commit to communicating with God, I feel alive.
Surround yourself with people who love you - Sometimes in your moment of stillness you may start feeling inadequate or unimportant. It is a very vulnerable period, I tell. It is important to be around people who will remind you of how percious you are to them.
, solitude and stillness are not bad.
They are times required for reflection. Do try it *smiles*
Remember...
Life is short, live it to the fullest ,
Till then, ka o di *waves*
