Whew! This woman is exhausted but content *smiles*

Last week, I hosted the 2021 edition of our annual Tourism Virtual Summit.

This year's theme is titled 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 where participants learned the power of fundraising through crowdfunding.

We also launched our 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 and are currently promoting our first crowdfunders' projects.

So let's gist about what happened a few days ago, when the social media world went upside down *chuckles*

Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, the BIG 3, were on "lock-down" for about 6 hours.

The sad thing was that a lot of people who run their day to day businesses on these platforms lost opportunities and money.

The good thing is that people were forced to take a break from social media and do other things outside it....

Just like how Aunty Rona locked down the whole world for almost 1 year and mother earth rested, so did we *smiles*

Another good thing that came out of the social media lock down was that people started seeing the value of having an email list.

Honestly, email marketing is one of the 'best kept secrets' of many successful businesses, especially online businesses.

As the popular saying amongst online businesses goes...

The money is in the email list.

I am actually considering doing a workshop on how to set up and build your email list 🤔
