Let me start by asking you a question...
What do you do when you really want to stay connected with someone?
Well, this is what I usually do...
I specifically ask for their active WhatsApp number so that I can chat up and call them regularly.
I also ask for their active social media handles so that I can stay updated with activities in their lives.
Offline, I try to schedule a convenient date and time for us to hangout.
Let's bring it down to building your brand.
Apart from social media, what other way can you connect with your ideal audience?
How do you build a deeper relationship with your audience especially potential, current and past customers?
How do you keep them informed and updated regularly to encourage brand loyalty?
The answer to these questions is EMAIL MARKETING!
Emails have been in existence for a long time...
In fact ever since the World Wide Web came into existence.
Most people think emails are old school.
Nope! They are still over relevant in the digital marketing space.

While social media gives your posts limited time to be seen by your audience (thanks to algorithms), emails gives you a better chance to speak directly to your audience, in their inbox, at a time that is convenient for them. So when they are available, they can easily find and read up on your emails. Can you do that with social media? Heck no! You will need to scroll down tire before you find that valuable post *laughs*
#2. Personal & Customized - One of the things I love about email marketing is the ability to send tailored messages that connects with your readers individually. With social media you have to address a general audience. But with email marketing, you can address people individually by name, based on what they subscribed for. Meaning you can provide each person with something of value that resonates with them. How cool is that? *excited look*
#3. Increase Brand Awareness - When someone gives you their email address, it shows they are interested in your brand. Email marketing gives you the ability to increase your brand awareness, by staying on top of such person's mind. When you constantly send emails to your subscribers (whether daily, weekly or monthly) and offer them valuable content, you will stay registered in their mind.
