For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with saying no. When I did manage to muster the courage, I'd find myself overexplaining, leaving me puzzled. Why did I feel the need to justify myself and prove my good intentions? Why was I so worried about others doubting me?
I realized this behavior runs deeper, and today I'll explore why we feel compelled to overexplain, even when others have already judged us.
