I pray your Ramadan has been going well.
A great deal has unfolded in the world this past week — conversations around artificial intelligence and technology, ongoing conflict, and a growing sense of uncertainty about what lies ahead. It felt like a moment worth pausing for.
Today I wanted to sit with some of these reflections and share a short reading from my novel, a Strange New Land | Decree.

On The World and the Future
A dua:
O Allah, Lord of the seen and the unseen,
anchor our hearts in truth when the world around us moves quickly.
Do not let the noise of this age distract us from what is real.
Protect our hearts from confusion, pride, and deception.
Make us people who recognize truth when it appears,
who turn back to You with sincerity,
and who remain steady when the world changes.
Place clarity in our hearts, humility in our actions,
and light in the paths we walk.
