Peace, God's Mercy and Blessings on you!
Dear friends,
I wanted to share something personal and meaningful with you today.
I’ve just recorded and released a new reading from my novel A Strange New Land: Decree — and it feels like the beginning of a new chapter for me as a writer.
In this episode, I read a passage that reflects on consumerism and what it looks like when desire becomes empty and disconnected from truth. I also speak a little about the deeper foundation of this book — how Islam, conscience, and spiritual memory shape the story beneath the surface.
This wasn’t just a reading.
It felt like an act of returning.
For a long time, my public work lived in many places — self-help, commentary, analysis, and guidance. Recently, I realized I want my personal platform to become something quieter and more honest: a space for story, reflection, and the inner life of my books.
This reading is part of that shift.
If you’d like to listen or watch, you can find the video here:
A Vision of Hell in a Consumerist World | Reading from A Strange New Land
I hope it offers you a moment of pause, curiosity, or recognition — especially if you’ve ever felt caught between the world’s noise and your own deeper knowing.
Thank you for being here with me as this unfolds.
More readings and reflections will follow, slowly and intentionally.
With peace,
Aishah
P.S. If this resonates with you, feel free to reply and share what stayed with you most. I always love hearing from you.
