We hope this message finds you in good spirits as you gear up for a beautiful, adventure-filled summer. 

Today we have some important news to share that might slow down our adventures temporarily.

Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and right now Shelley is facing one of life's toughest battles. Her husband Kevin is currently battling cancer and received a terminal diagnosis.

In times like these, it's essential to prioritize what matters most: family, love, and being there for the people who need us. And that's why, for the time being, we won't be embarking on our usual day trips or sharing new videos on the New Mexico Day Trips channel.

Shelley's focus and energy need to be directed toward her husband and providing the love and support he needs during this difficult journey. The next three to six months will require her to be home with him as much as possible to provide urgent care.

Although we'll be taking a temporary break from our adventures, we know that New Mexico's enchanting landscapes and hidden treasures will be patiently waiting for us when the time is right. In the meantime, we encourage you to revisit some of our favorite episodes, relive the magic, and continue exploring the Land of Enchantment on your own.

Arizona Gold Give Away: Running Paydirt from Rich Hill, Weaver Mining District, Weaver Mountains, Yavapai County, Arizona

After putting several spoonsful of the Arizona paydirt into a mylar bag, Toby mines it with his custom vibrator sluice, the Blue Bowl, and a Miller Table to coax the gold from its hiding places and into the sunlight!

And, there's more! When he's done cleaning and photographing the gold, Toby will add it to the mylar bag and seal it. We'll give it away to a lucky winner at 7pm MDT on Saturday, June 3. For a chance to win, all you have to do is make a comment on this video.
