Shelley returned home from the hospital last Tuesday evening and has been recovering at a good pace. She is out for her daily walks, and will participate in all three of her livestreams this week!

Retirement in 2022: We're All Getting Punched in the Face!
As that great philosopher, Mike Tyson said, "Everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the face." I think we're all getting punched in the face in 2022, so far.
This is a quote from a savvy financial advisor, Mike Allison. My business partner, Toby Younis, interviewed him last week for our live stream podcast, Messages and Methods.
Over the weekend, I edited the transcript of that interview into a blog post, Explore Your Retirement Living Options.
The quote from Mike about getting punched in the face is a difficult reality for people like my husband and me. We've planned and saved for retirement for the past 38 years. We would have put it off one or two more years, but battling cancer has become my husband's full-time occupation, so we can't wait any longer.
Here is an excerpt from the interview I found to be especially enlightening:
Michael Allison: The financial services industry created this idea that you have to accumulate, save and invest to build up a piggy bank to take with you out of your working life and into whatever you want to do in terms of relaxation, recreation, and volunteer work.
