Spreading our wings!

From Toby: I called my daughter Erica on Monday because it was her birthday. Towards the call's end, she asked about our new YouTube channel, "New Mexico Day Trips." I told her what it was about and what Shelley and I were trying to accomplish. She asked if I was ever going to retire. I told her I had no plans to retire, and she replied, "Good for you, Dad. Good for you." With daughters like her and a partner like Shelley, I will continue exploring my own potential. I hope you do, too.
Hello ,
Next Level Success for Introvert Creators
by Shelley Carney
It has always surprised me when popular content creators, coaches, and thought leaders admit they are introverts.
But then, I'm an introvert, too.
When I go to events, it is easier for me to stay behind the camera and capture other people speaking, dancing, performing, and having fun.
My business partner, Toby, and I attended the premier ribbon-cutting event at the Route 66 Visitor's and Events Center on 9 Mile Hill last Friday. There were speeches, a low-rider car show, food trucks, and bands. People had a great time, but I enjoyed it because we gathered good footage for our New Mexico Day Trips YouTube channel and had a delicious ribs dinner from the Steam Q food truck.
Introverts like me can still compete and be successful content creators...

How to Make a Mini-Documentary: A Step-by-Step Guide
by Maxime Hoppenot, July 11, 2022
Did you know that more and more B2B brands and corporations are creating documentaries to connect with their audiences?
In fact, it’s called ‘documarketing’, and it’s been on the rise since VOD (video on demand) services like Netflix and Prime Video took off. Brands like Patagonia and Apple are all producing original documentaries, films, and television content under the namesakes Patagonia Films and Apple TV+.
Why? Because branded documentaries are known for evoking the audiences’ emotions, and oftentimes, eliciting actions or changes in behavior or perspective after watching. That’s why more and more businesses are adopting mini-documentaries and short films in their greater content marketing strategy.
In this article, we’ll cover the following topics to help you understand the what, why, and how of producing a documentary – as well as to determine whether your brand should invest in this type of production.
(Great article and advice. Read the rest of the article here.)
