Hi ,
Welcome to Day 1 of our devotional journey together.
Today, we’re starting quietly because that’s often how God speaks.
Scripture:
“After the fire came a gentle whisper.” — 1 Kings 19:12
Elijah was exhausted. Burnt out. Overwhelmed. He had seen miracles, confronted opposition, and still found himself asking God if it was worth continuing. And in that moment, God didn’t correct him. He didn’t rush him. He didn’t overwhelm him with noise.
He whispered.
So many of us are waiting for God to shout to make things obvious, dramatic, undeniable. But often, His voice comes softly. In stillness. In the pause between tasks. In the quiet nudge you almost ignore because life is loud and expectations are heavy.
This is an invitation to slow down today. Not to fix anything. Not to figure everything out. Just to listen.
Because alignment doesn’t begin with action.
It begins with attention.
Reflection:
Where in your life might God be whispering but you’ve been too busy or tired to notice?
Take a moment today. Even two minutes. Sit in silence. No agenda. No words. Just openness.
Tomorrow, we’ll talk about what it really means to stop striving and start abiding.
Until then, give yourself permission to be still.
