Greetings!
Today's post is all about supporting authors. Authors supporting authors is something really important to me as it's difficult to reach others when you don't have the backing of a traditional publisher. It's become a goal of mine to connect with and discover new authors every week. I hope to spread the news about some wonderful authors and urge you to review whatever book(s) you like. Every review matters.
Let's start with a friend that I've recently made, Liana Valerian. On June 6, she dropped her most recent novel, Dusk & Desire. This novel is a beautiful LGBTQIA+ dystopian romance. I can't wait to read it myself!
The world ended. Their love is just beginning.
Next up, I would love to promote the author Janet Walden-West. For all the Kindle Unlimited readers out there, her Region Two Urban Fantasy Series has five books out, the most recent being Agent of Fate. I'd say read up and prepare yourself, as in just fifteen days, the sixth book in the series will be available for readers. Lucky for us, all the other books are available on Kindle Unlimited. Can't wait to download each one of these books :)
If you like deeply loyal heroes, dangerous liaisons, and whip-smart humor, you’ll sink your teeth into Janet Walden-West’s high-stakes adventure.
Buy Agent of Fate to feed a dark hunger today!
Another author who I'd love to spotlight is B.L. Brown. If you love witchy stories and urban fantasies, her stories might just be for you. As someone who judges a book by its cover often, I was drawn in by the cover of her story Ritual Dues, and it did not disappoint—though I did have to read Ritual Income first.
This series is meant for adult audiences so read at your own discretion.
A new author also fell on my radar during this time. A.L. Tippett started her writing journey in 2020 with her debut novel, A Dragon's Mind. The trilogy finished in 2022 and is available for a nice binge read.
Enchanted by lies, abducted by truth.
Yet another urban fantasy author who I've discovered for the first time myself is Christine Schulz. She has recently released a free prequel to the Nightfly series, Mixing Magic & Mayhem. With the other three books of the series already released, I'd recommend you grab the prequel, a cup of tea, and start reading.
Zulli's gearing up for a day of butt kicking and free cake.
I will be trying to introduce more authors and books monthly that I hope everyone can appreciate. If you love what you see, please don't feel shy and leave a review. For many authors, the credibility of reviews can make all the difference—especially on Amazon and Goodreads where it can be the difference of being featured or not.
If you've made it this far, thank you for reading.
Until next time,
A.D. Dumas
