Elves, sorcerors, and Napoleon?

(First twelve chapters preview)

Sorcerer Christaan De Rein's return to Liverpool does not go well, starting with the fact that his trusted apprentice, Higgins, dies on the way. Then again, Higgins dies a lot. Of course, Rein doesn't expect to be welcomed with open arms after being banished for nine years, but a cryptic summons from The Musician herself cannot go unanswered.

But when Rein arrives all is in chaos. People with fairy blood are turning up dead. The Forum Magicae is undone and the Curators sieged.

And in another world altogether, where Earth is just a legend, a girl named Niena and a cursed lyre hold the key to saving both realms. Or destroying them.

Shadowblade Academy

Free with Kindle Unlimited

At Shadowblade Academy, everyone fears the shadows…

Being the ordinary sister of a supernatural powerhouse isn’t fun. I live in the Crust, an outsider town for normies, while she gallivants around her top-secret academy for Abnorms.

Then everything goes sideways on my twenty-first birthday. Mediums scream at me like possessed nuns. Dudes pop out of shadows, trying to kidnap me. My dreams become very strange.

Most importantly, my sister goes missing.

I have to go looking for her, which means finding her school. Problem is, I learn the academy trains magical assassins who manipulate shadows. Badass but terrifying.

Bullies at the academy don’t think I belong. Smoldering fae, vampire, and shifter men are obsessed with me for different reasons: attraction, hate, suspicion. And who the hell is the sexy ghost-man haunting my dreams?

I’m trapped in a place where I’m always looking over my shoulder, and I can’t even trust my own shadow…

DARKNESS CALLS is the first book in the Shadowblade Academy series, a steamy paranormal romance with multiple love interests and a splash of darkness. It features a female lead who takes no crap, and troubled but strong mates. Expect mystery, steam, dark humor, and edge-of-your-seat action!

The Ascendant Path: Scholar

Free with Kindle Unlimited

When ancient magical secrets threaten the safety of the House of Knowledge, a young scholar finds himself driven to protect it. But are the evil threats coming from the magical south or from within the school?

The world of Alos is divided. Generations have passed since the supreme god, Sartum, destroyed the northern City in Blue, thus ending the mortal use of magic, or at least that was the plan. In the south, however, magic runs freely among magical creatures, places, and mortals tapping into the power that flows through the land.

Meanwhile, a papermaker’s son named Layten Grayread journeys to the House of Knowledge to begin his life as a scholar. Dedicating his life to his studies, uncovering lost secrets, and learning new ones is all he's ever wanted. But the road from his parents’ workshop in poor Lowter to his school is treacherous and filled with evil magic. Forced to travel with an Anchor for protection, he is thrust into a world he never knew existed, nor wanted any part in.

When he finally arrives, Layten makes fast friends with two other students, Hopwell and Wix. But when he and his new schoolmates uncover a hidden store of books, they reveal secrets that contradict everything they know about the north. But when the books are stolen by southern rebels, chaos ensues in the House of Knowledge. Vilom, the Voice of Sartum, uses this as an opportunity to destroy the south, a place where mystical creatures and magical beings live and the mystic arts are still practiced openly. Thus, Layten and his friends are forced into service as unwilling soldiers to prevent the invasion.

A plan, hundreds of years in the making, unfolds, threatening to tear all of Alos apart.

Sparkling Magic: Protectors Academy Book 1

I don’t know who I am. I don’t know how I got here. All I do know is if I stop running, I will never be free.

When I burst from the woods into a rush of headlights and asphalt and open night sky, I think I’ve made it. I’m free. I’m safe. Then blinding energy explodes in front of me and the last thing I see before it all goes dark is a handsome face hovering over mine. Yay me, right?

I awake to find myself magicked to a hospital bed with some non-handsome guy telling me my magic is uncontrolled and dangerous. The way they see it, the choice is simple: enroll in their magic academy and learn to manage my power or spend the rest of my life in a cage.

And that’s how I land at Protectors Academy, a cut-throat magic boarding school where the heirs of the rich and important rule while they compete for an elite position on the borderlands.

So I’m not free, but I am not safe here, either. I’m being followed, a group of mean girls is on my case, and four of the hottest guys on campus don’t know what to do with me. And that’s before I’m attacked and the entire school blames me for burning down my own dorm room. All I want to do is pass their tests and get out of here. But first, I have to survive.

Music Fueled by Fantasy

Music really helps me in a lot of ways. It helps me creatively to get myself in the right mindset for whatever project or scene I'm working on, but it also helps me with my mood in general and my overall mental health.

I've been on a hard rock kick lately and these guys amp me up! They are a hard rock band with some heavy parts, but it's mostly just REALLY catchy music that you can still rock out to. I love listening to these guys when I'm in the car. I crank the volume up and get AMPED!

Here's a couple of my favorites from Beartooth!!

This Week's Food Fantasy

Thimblets from Legends & Lattes

These delicious pastries kind of remind me of Biscotti. They are based off of a mouse character in the Legends and Lattes series. These look really good, but let's be honest here... Anything with coffee in it is probably going to be amazing. 😂

Check out the full recipe and the website! I just discovered the site this week and it's an amazing marriage of food and fantasy. Hope you enjoy and as always, if you try any of the recipes I share, let me know how it turns out!!
