Friday, on the 1st of October, my top moment started really amazing.
It was a call that came in that morning to be a guest at this radio station (Sweet 107.1 FM) in a conversation on how far Nigeria has done with Technology.
Amazingly, two of my colleagues at a previous organisation I worked with were also invited.
Wow!
It was a reunion worth giving the hype.
As I sat at night to journal lessons from the day, certain thoughts came to mind.
1. Never make enemies
Imagine if during our moments at the place of work, we had conflicts unresolved or acted on gossips, we would not have been glad to meet again and embrace each other.
Imagine making issues out of unnecessary situations that were kept in an offence bank.
Then, smiling broadly and considering making contributions collaboratively would have been impossible.
2. Never remain where you were, Grow.
We have all had to work with other organizations after leaving where we met.
We have invested in knowledge and experience.
We can sit around tables and share an intelligent conversation.
Everyone has grown beyond what we use to be.
3. You will only attract according to the level of value you bear.
If only you know you are valuable, maybe you need to rethink.
When men see values, most likely, they will know.
Never wait for valuable people to look for you. Become valuable and you will be recommended.
David was playing the harp in the bush while taking the sheep to graze. He never knew someone was watching until King Saul needed that service in the palace.
4. Your growth and attainment level may not be the same but make sure you are growing and making progress.
You all may not build interest in the same thing but make sure you develop competence in what you choose.
Eventually, you will remain relevant and still be impactful.
Lest I forget to ask, how was your October 1st?
We will be wise.
