Where is your mind?

Have you ever thought to ask the question – where is my mind? Where does it live? Where does it reside?

When I was around 17, I sat down one morning and started penning down what I wanted to achieve 1 year from then, 2 years, 5 years, and after.

I was in the imagination of what I wanted to see in my life at those ages. I wanted to gain two admissions into the university.

Afterwards, go for a master's degree, get a job, and get married (LOL), among others.

It seemed so real that I could not see if there was going to be an obstacle.

About 10 years after that moment, I recalled those things I wrote down and realized I have achieved almost all of them.

I engaged my mind in an activity but was ignorant of its existence or where it is.

You also have engaged your mind many times and seen results but are not aware of where it is.

Let’s find it.

You may have listened to people speak about the mind or read books on topics that concern it.

You know it is great and powerful enough to change your life but was never told where it is.

Some may have told you to shut your eyes and you will see it but you only observed darkness with confusing distractions.

You have always been told to make up your mind but still don’t know what you are making up.

Have you walked up to a surgeon before who told you there is an organ called the mind?

You can’t find it nor can you feel it.

It cannot be transplanted nor can it be stolen literally.

If you steal a person’s heart and exchange theirs with yours, you cannot have that person’s mind.

Your mind is not your heart nor is it your brain. It is not a cell or sense organ within you. It is an element of your soul.

The soul is that intermediary that exists between your body and your spirit.

That is where your thoughts come from and the chamber where your reasoning and decisions are developed.

If you have seen a mad man before, you will get this instance better.

One thing that comes to heart when you see any is “he has lost his mind”.

Wow!

That’s it.

At that point, he has a brain as well as a heart but his external expressions and attitude can tell you where the mind is.

He can see you and choose to hurt you without offence. He is not doing so of his own volition but in the absence of the right mind.

What happens when such a person comes to his right senses?

He begins asking questions such as “where am I”, “why am I putting on this rag”, and “what happened to me”.

That’s because the mind has been restored back to him.

That’s how your mind brings coordination to your life and propels you towards taking the right steps and actions.

It is the life of your soul just like the spirit is life to your body.

If you have been lost in thoughts before, you will understand this better.

I mean that point where you had someone stand beside you, yet, your thoughts took you on a flight to a different destination to the point where you were unaware of your environment.

What took you on that flight was not your heart because it was still in your body or your brain because it was still in your head.

That was a journey your mind took you on.

That is how powerful your mind is.

No one can see the mind.

No one can hold it.

No one can seize it.

Yet, it is so powerful.

Here is an excerpt from my upcoming book, MindShift where you will learn about your mind and how to leverage its power to change your life.
