RESENDING: {{contact.first_name}}, did the twitter ban shock you?

Jun 08, 2021 12:15 am

It is no longer news that the Nigerian government took a decision to ban Twitter from operating in her country.

This happened as a result of a series of events that have been termed political, societal and individual in nature.

As a young person who understands global perspectives and what being young with lasting relevance demands, not all thoughts must be shared on every platform.

Last Saturday, there was an aspect around my career growth I started becoming really intentional about which I got a unique idea for.

How?

From xSpace by Twitter.

I cannot imagine where else this would have come from if I did not route through the use of a Virtual Private Network(VPN) to access Twitter that evening.

I was not sure I saw an announcement for that conversation but I learnt so much about this area of my career in very few minutes.

This is an area I have had to reach out to some friends outside Africa to get their ideas on how this could work.

Thanks to the Twitter ban that made me try out VPN even if I have heard about its existence.

I would firmly advise you to get one based on recommendation and explore its function.

Maybe you are amidst the gospellers who have a bias about VPN, let me help you here.

VPN is a personalised platform acting as a vehicle that drives you to any part of the world you desire to get to.

Just like you can choose to drive your private car to any destination as long as there are paths and the potential can, the same way VPN works.

It is a legal system that gives individuals access to a position in any part of the world where servers are present to purchase or branch anywhere they choose to.

What you choose to do while in that vehicle is your choice but for the instrument itself, it is not an offender.

Where was I when I caught that idea on VPN?

Somewhere in Europe (using my VPN vehicle) because Nigeria did not allow what I wanted.

I hope with these few points of mine, I have been able to help you.

When certain men do not know too well the actions they take against a certain generation, decisions are taken without the consequences measured.

If you are a business person, content creator or leader of an initiative, I firmly counsel that you do not put your entire dependency on rented platforms - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube among others.

Learn the skill of employing your owned platform - email list, website, mobile application.

Even as you make use of VPN, ensure you do not conduct monetary transactions with it as this may alert fraudulence attempt.

Refuse to be a victim of events and decrees by building competencies that make you take deliberate and liberating responsibilities.

Choose selective information over mass education.

Open your heart wide to listen to the eavesdrops of conversations that take place and eyes wide to see the body languages of the things that happen in the affairs of power.

A few days from now, I am considering holding a free webinar where I teach you how to take advantage of VPN, set up your mailing list with free platforms like SendFox or ConvertKit and attract an audience to fill it up.

All you have to do is reply to this email indicating your interest.

If the interest is high, we get it done.

What did you learn from this letter?

We will be wise.
