6 mistakes multitalented people make (1)

During the church service yesterday, I got this inspiration which if I took time taking deep thought over immediately may miss what was going on.

I simply picked up my diary and chose to document (Learnt something?).

If I missed this powerful insight, it would have been robbery not to get it across to you.

It dawned on me how so many people with talents seem to be delighted with others making waves with theirs but find out years later why they never produced results.

You may have had to speak with such a person or been one yourself who when people tell you how amazing you are with your talent smile but sit down to wonder how much you miss becoming.

When they have a conversation with you, you feel so inspired but shocked at why their relevance and results are limited.

You are in awe of their great voices, get goosebumps and wants to 'sit in the sky' when they sing.

Maybe this is you.

You are wondering why your talents have not grown impact outside the circle you discovered them.

You get a lot of people thanking you for a single performance but never send another text to invite you again.

You have a good teaching session in a group but never get called to teach again.

I will show you the mistakes (in my coming emails) hindering you from reaching your maximum level of manifestation.

I'll start with Number One:

You are too hasty to get massive results from all your talents at once.

At the beginning of your launching out, it is true you will be confused about which gift to start using.

When you release all instantly, people get confused about which they should recommend you for.

You want to be a great singer and at the same time a powerful motivational speaker without being relevant at any.

Looked at how Steve Harvey started out his career to relevance.

He had the gift of being an outstanding show host, actor, comedian, event anchor, author, entrepreneur but you know what?

He would never have been known if he did all at the beginning of his career.

At that time in his life, he was struggling with meeting his needs and was sleeping in his car.

When they needed someone to reach out to for a comedy competition that changed his life, there was no confusion about who to call.

He got the information, performed like his life depended on it and was called again to the same event.

After goring influence and income from there, he spread his talent wings to others areas - hosting shows, acting, stand-up comedy, motivational talks, panellist, business, authoring books amidsts others.

When people know you for one thing and trust you for it, it becomes easier to accept you for other things.

I have shared my story many times about my loving to write posts and inspire people via text. I was consistent with WhatsApp sessions and Facebook posts where people started taking notice of me.

Someone may meet me somewhere and say "I use to read your post" or "Thank you for those words".

Eventually, I evolved to physical events where I didn't become a major speaker until the third edition, yet, I was the convener.

It became essential for people to at least have my mind written as books, then, I started authoring books and even gave some for free.

When your activities confuse those who should recommend you, it will be difficult to talk about you.

To avoid writing a long letter here, I would send a Part 2 of this series to you on the second mistake you should avoid.

Tell me; What did you learn from this post?

What would you do differently?

What would you restrategize?

Let me know.

We will be wise.
