Hello peeps!
This is a bit of an unusual email because I normally show up in your inbox on Mondays, but I wanted to send one final reminder before this weekend.
📍 Barnes & Noble Book Signing
This Sunday, May 31st, I'll be signing books at Barnes & Noble in Pembroke Pines from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM!
If you're local to South Florida, I'd absolutely love to meet you. Come say hi, grab a signed copy, get some free goodies, chat about books, writing, fantasy, horror, or whatever weird rabbit hole your brain is currently exploring.
One of my favorite parts of writing is getting to connect with readers in person, so if you're nearby, I hope you'll stop by.

🎬 Movie Review – Michael
I finally watched Michael and really enjoyed it.
What stayed with me most wasn't the celebrity. It was the loneliness.
Success and fame are often idealized, but this movie does a great job showing the cost that can come with them. As someone who has experienced abuse, I found myself connecting deeply with the portrayal of psychological manipulation and control from his father. Colman Domingo was absolutely phenomenal in that role.
Physical abuse is terrible, but psychological abuse is often harder to explain. It's a slow poison that works its way through someone's childhood and shapes how they see themselves and the world around them.
When many people saw an eccentric celebrity, I saw someone carrying a tremendous amount of pain and loneliness.
The movie isn't perfect. There were moments where it felt a little slow, but I loved the music, loved the energy, and had to stop myself from dancing more than once.
Overall: 8/10
🐶 Snoopy's Weekend Plans
I don't know what happened here.
One minute he was sitting on the couch.
The next minute he looked like he was updating his LinkedIn profile.
Hope you all have an amazing weekend, and if you're in South Florida, I hope to see you on Sunday!
Stay weird and keep those pages turning,
A.B. Cohen
