I finally finished the first book in the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson!
I’ll be honest—it took me a while to get into. Maybe it’s because I’m not used to high fantasy, but the beginning felt a bit slow for me. That said, the character development and magic system are incredible and totally worth it.
The first half was me pushing through all the descriptions and deep worldbuilding. But the last third? A full-on rollercoaster that kept me reading way past bedtime.
Sanderson is widely regarded as one of the best fantasy authors writing today, and by the end, I saw why. I'm already diving into book two, The Well of Ascension, and I hope it keeps the momentum going.
My final verdict? 8.5/10 — a great read, especially for fantasy lovers, though the dense worldbuilding took me out of it now and then.
