The recommendations
Nothing Sacred - Z.J. Cannon
Like Anti-hero Private Detectives? This first book in the Nic Ward Series is an excellent action-packed story with angels, demons, and magic. If you like Constantine and Dresden Files, then you’ll love Nothing Sacred. Check out the blurb below:
When human justice fails, the desperate call me.
You know things are bad when a fallen angel is one of the good guys. Only I’m not much more than human myself now. Not since I lost my magic in the war that defeated the big boss in Heaven for good.
I stay away from the supernatural these days. I’ve got enough regular old human wrongs to right without borrowing trouble I no longer have the firepower to handle. Besides, I paid my dues in the war, and have the scars to prove it. If anyone deserves a little peace and quiet, it’s me.
That rule worked great until today. Now there’s a beautiful woman on my doorstep with a demon problem. She’s too innocent for the world she’s stumbled into. She doesn’t stand a chance on her own. But if I let her in, it’s only a matter of time before this job brings me face to face with the consequences of what I did in the war—the secret I’ve worked so hard to leave behind.
Fate of the Blue Moon - H.B. Lyne
Fae, witches, shifters, demons! Fate of the Blue Moon features a kick-ass heroine with some awesome shifting abilities. The world-building in this series is fantastic too. Check out the blurb here:
One unique shifter. Deadly enemies on all sides. What will she sacrifice and what will be stolen?
Ariana is an ambitious martial artist in love with her life. But when she discovers that she's a shapeshifter she stands to lose it all.
Tensions mount when her new friend is captured by a vicious enemy. Ariana faces the toughest contest of her young life.
Her pack will stop at nothing to rescue one of their own. But their efforts may bring war upon them. Can disaster be averted? Ariana must balance her humanity against the beast within before she loses everything...
Fate of the Blue Moon is a dark urban fantasy thriller that will intrigue you and twist your world upside down.
Will Ariana lose it all? Buy Fate of the Blue Moon today to find out.
If you like Patricia Briggs, Faith Hunter, Shayne Silvers, CN Crawford, Steve McHugh, Stephanie Foxe or R Medhurst, then you'll relish the first instalment in the Shifters of Caerton Series.
See ya weirdos!
