Remarks by Ken Malagiere - Chair, Wroxton Advisory Committee: 3/24/25

“A private foundation has partnered with the alumni group to fund the acquisition of Wroxton. While details are still being finalized, there is a strong spirit of collaboration, and both sides are hopeful about the path ahead.”

“It’s clear that FDU’s role as caretaker is coming to a close. With that in mind, and in consultation with Dean Baldwin, we believe the best way to preserve Wroxton’s legacy is to place it in the hands of an independent charitable trust—one that can sustain Wroxton College for the long term while keeping its mission alive.”

“The proposed educational trust would provide continuity, transparency, and flexibility as we build new academic affiliations and programs—while also maintaining our longstanding connection to FDU, just no longer in a financial role.”
