I solemnly swear that I am up to DO good!

Yes, that’s a Marauder’s Map reference from Harry Potter, and I changed one letter lang. I seriously love it when things like this happen. (rendered using ideogram AI)

What does doing good mean though? (Atsaka, bakit good lang hindi great? - E di pangit na yung sentence hehe)

Do good financially.

Do good for my clients.

Do good for my team and family.

Do good for the world.

That’s the main mantra of The Work Fun Home Manifesto

I've been recently trying to define what Working Fun Home truly means, and I realized I resonate a lot with the idea of a business that's centered around Fun, Freedom, and Flexibility.

I’ve been studying some of the thought leaders I follow when it comes to creating a business around your life and being more intentional and introspective. Ali Adbaal, Daniel Priestly, Erin Loechner, Taro Gold, and Carl Jung, John Pagulayan, Allanjust to name a few.

The goal is to fit your business into the gaps of a life well-lived.

Not the other way around, where you fit your life around your work. No Gary Vaynerchuks, Elon Musks, Mark Zuckerbergs, and Alex Hormozis allowed.

(Well sige na nga, some Alex Hormozi na lang hehe. Big fan ako sa systems nya.)

Instead of overthinking it and worrying about what people will think about this version alpha, I decided to just put this out there na lang.

If you like how this sounds, you can totally copy it. Print it and modify it to your liking.

What I want to happen with the Work Fun Home brand is simple lang naman:

- To have fun while making money

- To help others while having the freedom and flexibility we want

- To create meaningful work that makes us excited to get up on Monday mornings

- To literally work fun home (or kung digital nomad ka, anywhere you call home)

To create a business that prioritizes personal fulfillment, meaningful work, and a positive impact on the lives of my clients and customers, my team members, and my audience.. and syempre sa akin din.

We strive to make good money, have freedom, fun, and flexibility while helping others.

So here are the principles I’m laying down para ma-achieve ang mga goals na yan (work in progress):

1. Enjoy the journey - Kahit successful na, kung di ka masaya, what’s the point? Let's do work that lights us up every day. This necessitates working on something that you already have an affinity to, and you’re not in it simply for the money.

2. Create your tribe - Work with people you genuinely enjoy. Create a family, hindi lang team, or employees. Surround yourself with individuals that you truly connect with on a deep level. This sounds easy and cheesy, pero culture is king talaga.

3. You do you - Focus on tasks you love doing, and let your teammates focus on what they love doing. Let them be superstars at what they do, and allow your team members to shine and focus on tasks they enjoy and excel at, while encouraging autonomy.

4. Don't put all your eggs in one basket - Let's avoid relying too much on just one or two big clients. This is so that we can keep being HIGHLY selective of who we work with and keep being independent.

5. Be the tortoise, not the hare - Take it easy lang tayo guys. We're in it for the long haul. We want to prioritize slow and sustainable growth.

This means deciding early on if you’re aiming to be a lifestyle business, or a performance business (which is hyperfocused on growth), and neither is good or bad. Just different. We do not aim to scale too soon, only just to burn out.

6. Keep the squad lean but agile and mabilis mag-pivot - to maintain a manageable team size para smoother sailing and less cognitive load of actually managing people. Quality over quantity. More headcount does not mean more success.

7. Be wais with money - Let's save and invest for our future. Money comes and goes, but we need security.

8. Work hard, play harder - Creating a business that lets us take time off when we need it. Work towards productizing services or creating digital assets.

9. Chill-Factored - Limit real-time work and meetings. Do we really need to zoom, or can we work async na lang?

10. Wag tayong padalos-dalos - We set our own deadlines here based on what works for us, not what other people want.

11. Make a difference - Let's help others while doing what we love. Success is sweeter when we lift people and businesses up.

So ayun sya guys.

You can see it’s not perfectly formed yet, some of the points clearly need more work, but there it is in a nutshell.

That’s my manifesto for building a business focused on fun, freedom and fulfillment while making a positive impact.

If you resonate with these principles, you’ll probably enjoy the content here.

That's why I'll only ever teach, do, share, and recommend things that are aligned to helping you work fun home, and experience that same freedom and flexibility.

So when I say that this upcoming Free Webinar on Friday, 8PM October 6 at the SAAS Marketing PH FB Group is going to be useful, I'm putting my name and the whole work fun home brand behind it.
