[💡WFUN] Be a Winnie the Pooh!
Feb 27, 2024 1:00 am
Yo !
I saw something that made me feel hella proud the other day.
Saw one of my scholars (and a fellow member of the Work Fun Home Nation email list) Cloe winning big time only two months after getting into the Cold 2 Gold Leadgen course I sponsored last year!
100% open rate sa cold emails, my gulay!
It took me 8 long years before it started to happen for me, kaya I wish I had this kind of guidance when I was starting out.
Feeling ko nanalo ako ng consolation prize sa lotto hahaha.
I don’t know why, di naman ako may-ari ng course (Shout out to Bom, Mary, Aiza, Sarah and the gang), but super nakaka-proud and happy lang talaga.
Siguro kasi validated ako sa choice in picking her because she took action and didn’t take things for granted.
Way to go, Clows!
Please join me in celebrating her win, and wish her more pa in the future.
Also.. let's talk about something real for a moment - being genuinely happy for others can sometimes be tough.
We see it all over social media.
There’s a lot of insincere praise going around.. and I know because I also see some posts about wins making people feel bad.
Instead of being truly happy for others, marami satin actually become secretly jaded and retreat more into ourselves.
Sana, we can catch ourselves next time.
I mean I get it, it’s social media.. and the newsfeed is meant to be a highlight reel. You’re only seeing just the highlights in people’s lives.
Yan talaga dark side ng technology, and it’s a side-effect of getting addicted to our screens… we end up with a feeling of emptiness and a sense na useless yung mga nagawa natin sa buhay.
And it isn’t your fault. I feel it din minsan.
Ganon lang talaga design nya.
It's supposed to keep you comparing yourself to others in an unhealthy way.
And as long as you realize that, you can start being kinder to yourself. ^_^
In our culture today, it often feels like there's a scarcity mindset when it comes to wins - like there's only so much success to go around.
Ganon din yung turo sakin growing up, na others need to fail if you want to succeed, there can be only one winner sabi nila.
I call BS on that.
As if success is a zero-sum game. It's not.
I'm realizing more and more that genuine joy for others breeds even more success for everyone.
When we can celebrate someone else's win sa freelancing, like a new client, or any personal milestone (like naligo today hehe) with no ulterior motive or tinge of jealousy, it creates a positive ripple effect.
Just like seeing you achieve your goals and dreams fills me with hope and inspiration to keep working toward my own.
I want you to be rich and successful !
Your happiness is not at odds with mine. Instead, it reminds me that we all have the potential within us for greatness.
In fact kung mayaman ka na, you can probably afford my coaching programs na ahaha.
I aim to support you on your freelance journey in any way I can, (wag lang utang hehe) just as I know you're cheering me on in mine.
There is more than enough success to go around.
So I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and how excited I am to hear how your freelancing business is growing and progressing every day.
Keep winning pa, , seriously. Don't be ashamed or shy to let me know either. I'll proudly share your story too, para we can magnify the impact and inspire more people.
So the next time you have a choice whether to be truly happy for someone else's wins... don't be an Eeyore, be a Winnie the Pooh.
Wishing you MOAR success and joy.
