Yo Work Fun Home Fam

It’s been an interesting past few days where I was sending you guys over to SaaS Marketing PH for Mary Robido and Bom Miciano’s FREE Masterclass on how to crack the code with cold outreach.

Thanks for writing back that you appreciated the push.

Speaking of doing outreach, I had a very interesting reply come in just today.

Coach, challenge ko approaching clients. I attended Bom and Mary’s webinar several times na but when I’m about to craft emails for prospects, parang nahihirapan akong huminga.

Ang weird lang. Tapos nawawala ideas sa utak ko dahil sa kaba na as if naman may papansin agad na client, and mag-proceed sa dc. 😂

I’m sharing my thoughts on that here for those of us who may have the same situation.

Approaching clients can definitely be a nerve-wracking experience and ayos lang yan.

Now, I’m no psychologist or expert by any means, but based on my interactions with so many freelancers, it might come down to the factors outside of Bom and Mary's lessons.

It could be something in the past that may be a trigger. It might actually be a cultural thing or conditioning that many of us get while growing up.

Many people have this, etong tendency to self-sabotage. What’s cool is that hindi sya genetic, habit pala sya.

So kung habit sya, we can totally unlearn them and replace them with better ones.

Here are two things I can suggest.

1. Do the sending of cold emails in a group habang nag co-working kayo.

Ganito gawin mong goal as you say it out loud sa mga kasama mo: “Dito sa co-working session na ito, dapat makapag-send ako ng X number of outreach within 30 minutes”

Then at the end of the session, show them proof na nasend mo na. It will be hard at first, but magiging okay ka na over time.

That way wala kang choice and you’re accountable to someone. (Studies show na it’s 90% more effective than just promising stuff to yourself and wala naman makakakita).

Who knew right? Hehehe.

You know that already, but it always bears repeating.

2. Send loads of these outreach messages agad, kung ano man yung limit ni Gmail and LinkedIn per day, para maging manhid ka.

End of the day, you’ll realize quickly that sending one email doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

It takes a while to get to the level of confidence nila Bom and Mary, and realistically sa start baka hindi papansin mga cold outreach mo.

This is true for anything we’re new at.

Bibilis ang learning curve natin when we enroll in courses yes, but there is no shortcut sa pag-outreach (unless mag-bayad ka ng people or you run ads).

You simply just have to do volume to get the experience.

And how do you get volume?

By simply going at it knowing na newbie ka, and making a lot of mistakes, and knowing that YOU WILL make them kahit gano ka pa ka-ingat.

Yes, kahit mag-enroll ka pa sa course ni Mary and Bom, may mga things don na hindi mo talaga ma-anticipate.

To be more direct, before ka mag-reach out sa kanila, they literally don’t care about you or what your offer is.

Why? Kasi they don’t know you exist. So why should you keep beating yourself up over it?

You have to realize this is sooooo liberating, !

Di nila alam kung sino ka, so wala ka din dapat hang ups.

Example: hindi sila sumagot sa email mo, e di okay lang.

Di mo nga din sila kilala e, so why do you care so much about what they think? Nothing changed.

We all think kasi that we’re a big deal. We’re not.

We have to just get over it.

Most business have this problem. Visibility.

One single email will not make a big dent.

Even a hundred emails won’t.

Alex Hormozi says na dapat nga daw mag reach out ka ng 100 contacts PER day. He literally says that in his book 100M Leads.

Tapos even if you’re a newbie, your open and reply rates will still suck.

So kung lahat ng newbies they fail naman talaga inevitably and make mistakes habang nag start, why not fail fast na lang and learn your lessons agad so you can move on to becoming better.

You don’t have to be a social butterfly na palaging pabibo and extroverted to succeed in freelancing.

Being introverted is not the same though as not showing up.

There are a lot of successful freelancers who show up daily, but when you see them in real life super introverted pala sila. The’ve simply fallen into good habits.

And you can do the same, !

Start ka na by learning the best practices of Outreach from the get go, from Mary and Bom. Open pa sila until the 12th.

Also! As an aside, I’m sponsoring 2 lucky people (worth 7,500 each) sa Cracking the code of Effective Cold Outreach! If you're not yet a member ng FB Group nila, consider joining.
