đź’ˇHow Not to Ghost Your Freelancing Business, {{contact.first_name}}

Yo !
Serious question: Have you ever completely ghosted your own business?
One day, you’re all fired up and motivated (like kakapanood mo lang ng Tony Robbins or something) — so you're sending proposals, fixing your portfolio, planning content.
The next, you’re nowhere to be found. Suddenly, it’s been a week, and you haven’t accomplished anything, and the guilt starts creeping in.
Been there. Been that. And all that. (wut?)
I know I've been emphasizing the importance of consistency in a lot of my emails. It’s easy to think that motivation drives our ability to stay consistent.
However, let me clarify: consistency has nothing to do with motivation. While motivation can spark your initial action, it slowly disappears—like that no-show friend we all have.
You know, yung nagsasabi na OTW pero later kung sobrang late na, sasabihin nya na "sorry something came up sa family, won't make it." Pinaasa ka lang.
Consistency, on the other hand, is about building habits and routines that keep you moving forward, regardless of how you feel. It’s the commitment to show up every day, even when inspiration runs low.
Consistency, my dear .. is a system.
Let me share with you this system. It's five ways you can build into your routine so you can finally stop ghosting your freelance business.
Build a Schedule That Works for You
If you don’t control your schedule, your schedule will control you.
But that doesn’t mean forcing yourself into someone else’s version of productivity. Hindi lahat ng tao pang-5 AM grind.
I honestly gave the Robin Sharma 5AM club a shot... I simply went back to sleep. lol
The goal is to create a routine that fits your energy levels, leaves room for life, and feels sustainable.
Once you have a rhythm, it becomes automatic. Consistency is less about discipline and more about making things easier for yourself.
Make Tasks So Easy, You Can’t Say No
The easiest way to procrastinate is to make your to-do list overwhelming.
Instead of saying, "I'll write three blog posts today," try "I'll write one paragraph."
Instead of, "I'll reach out to 10 clients," try "I'll send one message."
Sounds too simple? That’s the point.
Once you start, momentum kicks in. And before you know it, you’re actually getting work done.
Don’t Overcommit
Have you ever said yes to a project, only to realize you walked straight into a nightmare? Low pay, endless revisions, a client who thinks they own your soul? (Yes nai-singit ko yung trending topic about freelancers taking on too many clients!)
Overcommitting is the fastest way to burn out and become inconsistent. Say yes to less, but deliver your best.
The freelancers who charge more and work less aren’t lucky—they just know when to say no.
Schedule Time Off
"Paano ako kikita kung pahinga ako nang pahinga?"
Ah, but here’s the thing—your best work doesn’t come from exhaustion.
Freelancers who never take breaks end up burnt out and uninspired. The ones who actually rest? They stay sharp, creative, and (surprise!) consistently make money.
If you schedule your breaks like you schedule work, you won’t run yourself into the ground.
Be Kind to Yourself
You won’t always get it right. You’ll have bad days. May mga araw talaga na kahit anong pilit, walang lumalabas na matinong idea. Like this email. I feel like I'm juicing this topic way too much, and I don't think today's email is a banger compared to some that I really refined.
That’s fine. As long as I know na may value pa din, I'll try my best not to miss. (even if I actually do sometimes.)
Progress isn’t about never missing a day.
It’s about not quitting just because you missed a few. If you fell off track, pick up where you left off. No drama, no self-blame. Just keep going.
So... If you want to stop ghosting your freelance business, start by making your Schedule work for you, Breaking tasks into tiny steps, setting Boundaries, scheduling Breaks, and being Kind to yourself when you slip up. (or SBBBK)
Until next time,
Shoden "On the way pre" San
