let's keep the replies coming pa guys, I love the inputs so far.

I'll try to teach what I know and what I learned so far with what you want to hear more of, based sa experience ko.

Pero bilang isa akong master procrastinator din, (I'm such an expert that I actually wrote a whole book on the topic lol).. I wanted to talk about this first.

It's a classic parable but I'm adapting if for freelancers.

The Freelance Parable of the Two Wolves

There once was a freelancer who had a problem.

He had two magic dire wolves living within him, each representing different attitudes towards his work.

The first wolf symbolized self-doubt, procrastination, and fear of failure.

This wolf always whispered discouraging words to the freelancer, making him doubt his abilities, delay important tasks, and fear the potential negative outcomes of his work.

This wolf thrived on the freelancer’s insecurities and kept him from reaching his full potential. This wolf encourages you to value comfort over progress.

Eto din nagsasabi na wag ka pumasok sa work, okay lang mag-ghost ng clients, okay lang na hindi maging responsive sa comms, and okay lang to just stay in your room the whole day.

The second wolf embodied confidence, proactivity, and resilience.

This wolf encouraged the freelancer to believe in his skills, tackle tasks head-on kahit there will be hard conversations to be had, and view failures as opportunities for growth.

This wolf nourished the freelancer’s positive attitude and pushed him toward success.

Eto din yung nagsasabi na maglaba ka na, gawin mo na tasks mo kahit mahirap yan at the present moment, linisin mo yung room mo para may good environment ka to work, and start focusing on your freelancing business and inch your way forward if you must.

As long as gumagalaw ka forward.

The freelancer was constantly in a battle between these two wolves.

Some days, he would listen to the first wolf and spend hours procrastinating or worrying about what other people thought.

Other days, he would heed the second wolf’s advice, completing tasks efficiently and handling criticism constructively.

One day, the freelancer sought advice from a successful mentor (itago natin sa pangalang John ^_^).

He shared his internal struggle with the mentor, asking, “Which wolf will win?”

The wais mentor replied, “The one you feed.”

In our freelancing business, we all have these two wolves within us.

The one that triumphs is the one we choose to feed through our actions and mindset. If we feed our fears and doubts, they will hold us back. But if we nurture our confidence and resilience, they will lead us to success.

Yun o. May parable pang nalalaman.

Think about this lang muna guys, and reply ka please with your takeaways. ^_^

Cheers!
