After ko maghatid sa son ko sa school, I usually try to find hole-in-the-wall restaurants or lomi places that have no big fancy setup, just lots of people eating.

Swertehan lang sya, pero mostly my hunches are good. It’s how I discover the real foodie spots in my adopted city of Lipa. 

So eto na nga. I went to this place that was also packed even late at night, so I made a beeline to it this morning. 

And men! Tama nga, their lomi was awesome! 

I was 15 minutes into my meal when all of a sudden this guy arrives. He parks his motorcycle up front and comes in. Normal looking guy. 

I go back to eating. 

While waiting for his order, he pulls out his phone and starts to watch a movie. 

Just like me then. I was also watching something on my phone.

Kaso lang, unlike normal people who would simply use earphones, this dude connects his phone to a Bluetooth boombox, which is strapped to his motorcycle outside of the Lomi place. 

I just had to take a photo kasi this thing was massive. It’s bigger than a toddler. 

This is what it sounded like (talagang ni-record ko din kasi this thing doesn’t happen every day)

As the movie played, each one of us, whether we liked it or not, became an unwilling audience to his Pinoy classics movie. As in lahat kami nagulat sa total lack of consideration nya para sa ibang tao. 

Nagka-tinginan pa nga kami ng ibang mga kumakain dun. Pati yung tindera napakamot ng ulo. Hehe

Buti na lang I was almost done when his order arrived. 

Now I could say na this is related to freelancing and how NOT to do marketing, pero wala ako maisip e.

I was just left with questions.

How... why? Sabi ko.

Pano kaya nabili ni Kuya ng ganyang bluetooth speaker?! That thing costs at least 33 thousand pesos. OMG.

Then an aha moment rocked my brain.

Siguro kasi Black Friday na! hahahaha

Kala mo siguro I would share something profound and connect it with Freelancing, no? Haha nope.
