Somehow I remember March being warmer. Instead, I’ve been making my inner-teenager proud and staying in bed far too long on weekends because this apartment gets randomly chilly and the thought of stepping onto the cold floor is unbearable. 

In between writing, deleting what’s written, and writing some more, I’ve been watching romcoms like like Your Place or Mine (Um, Ashton Kutcher??? Hello??), reading episode summaries of shows I find too scary (Exhibit U: Season 4 of You), and counting down the days to Daisy Jones and the Six while reading Taylor Jenkin Reid’s backlist. And all the while, I’ve been consuming my steady diet of romance books, though these days my tastes have veered a little left into the historical and fantasy side even though I consider myself a contemporary author. 

As an author, there’s like an extra pressure to read everything that comes out in your main genre to stay current, which is normally not a struggle because, honestly, I write the exact type of stories I love. But no matter how much you love something, sometimes your tastes differ for a few weeks, and it’s okay to indulge.

All that to say, I’m open to any book recommendations you guys have—reply to this email and let me know what your last five-star read is!
