Dear —
Whether you are a longstanding witness to my life as an independent author, or a relative newcomer to my Readers List, I'll keep you posted on my various efforts to escape obscurity.
What is the message you're sent to express,
To shine with which aspect of godliness?
This is a question I ask readers in my fictional reinvention of the life of Elijah. I was put here to celebrate the great prophet some three thousand years after his pronouncements made kings tremble. (And Queen Jezebel too!)
So I ask: is Covid among us now with the same kind of prophetic power that Moses and Elijah wielded in overthrowing leaders and their economies of exploitation? Don't we need this kind of intervention again in a world suffocated by colonialist structures?
Meanwhile I have a bunch of free and discounted offers to tell you about today...
1/ The Covid Prophecies, where I explain Covid's role as an abolitionist reformer, is in this 0.99 Amazon Countdown Deal (US and UK) for a few days.
2/ Last day to get Merciful Munching, my Bible-based self-help memoir about recovery from an eating disorder, free in this promotion.
3/ Obama's Dream, my indictment of U.S. empire in rhyming verse, remains listed in this Poetry promotion.
It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway... If you find blessing in any of my books, please say so in a review at Amazon (using the link in the closing About the Author section) or at your preferred book retailer. This helps other readers to find my books and gives me a welcome boost of encouragement!
Love,
Abdiel
P.S. -- Still waiting for Spring to arrive in northwest England where the mercury continues to drop to zero Celsius at night! This too shall pass, right?
