Dear —
As a new member of my Poetry Readers List, you're kin with my favorite genre...
I even write fiction in verse. When your theme is Old-Testament prophecy (Elijah), prose simply won't do!
A couple of things today...
1/ I have two pieces published in this month's issue of Electric Press: Preoccupation (p.4) and Peaceful Reflections on a Pandemic (p.24-25).
2/ This week, you can get a FREE copy of my novela, The Prince's Oath. It's a traditional Afghan tale outlined to me by Wali, a dear friend from my days in NYC, and one of more than 30 free books in this promotion of 'Clean Historical Romance'. (If you take up a copy, you will also be enrolled in my Historical and Biblical Fiction Readers List.)
I had a lot of fun inventing around the core narrative Wali described, fleshing out the characters, and recording an audiobook narration, for which you will find links inside the eBook. (Note: My new narration is widely available at retailers, including chirp, but avoid Amazon/ Audible for now where the version is awaiting replacement).
Until the next time I "unveil a secret book" (to quote Shakespeare, as I often do),
Abdiel
P.S. -- About half the poetry I write is on political themes and makes up my three-volume Verses Versus Empire series. You can get my latest narrations here on SoundCloud and recent entries here on Instagram.
