Dear —
This is the first time I've sent a message solely to my Audiobook Listeners List — a step long overdue. Perhaps you came onto this list by receiving a recording of Jezebel's Lament, my companion piece to Elijah. If you haven't heard it yet, you can still do so here.
Did you enjoy the book? If so, I would be most grateful if you could post a review here on Amazon US (on the eBook is fine), or here on Kobo, or wherever you buy books. This not only helps with my 'discoverability' to other listeners, but encourages me to press on in a sometimes arduous endeavour.
With a background in acting, and voice acting in particular — including audiobook narration for the U.S. Library of Congress — it always made sense to record my own titles. But I'd never set up my own studio before, nor mastered my own audio files. It has been a steep learning curve, requiring huge investment and years of trial and error.
Meanwhile, Audible as the main audiobook retailer has long been stealing earnings from authors and narrators, and I am one of thousands demanding justice in a movement known as 'Audiblegate'.
These are among the reasons I set up my own storefront for audiobooks. By curating the store myself, I can make sure only the best stuff is listed, and at deeply discounted prices. You can listen by installing the convenient Authors Direct app. Other retailers are listed here.
You can also hear free excerpts from my upcoming book, Her Infinite Variety here. It's a trove of love poetry, due for release this year.
And from Verses Versus Empire IV — The Biden Era, the latest installment in my 20-year political series, at this link.
So thank you for joining my audiobook list. I trust I shall keep you entertained!
"Your loves, as mine to you." (To quote Shakespeare, as I often do.)
