Dear —
I am thrilled that you have joined my Readers List and received your free copy of Jezebel's Lament (by A. LeRoy).
I am Abdiel, a name I chose for myself, and I am currently in the U.K. I have worked in journalism, financial analysis, yoga, and dance, but these days mostly write — fiction, non-fiction, memoir, poetry, and epic poetry. I love mythology, Shakespeare, and the Bible, and these have deeply inspired my own work.
Jezebel's tale, set about 3000 years ago, is one of my Old-Testament favourites and the counterpart of my belovèd prophet Elijah's. According to Queen Jezebel, he is the villain, forever thwarting her political plans and idolatrous cults. Which is why she wants him dead!
If Historical Fiction is your thing, you'll also find more in my epic poem, Elijah, whether in written word or my audiobook narration, where I reinvent the great prophet's life over 12 chapters of verse. While keeping true to the Bible's narrative, I have introduced into his world shapeshifting goddesses, battling angels, dueling dragons, and journeys to the throne of God.
If you read across other genres, you might also enjoy my just released non-fiction book, The Covid Protocols: Upholding Your Rights in Authoritarian Times, where I assert constitutional protections over the medical tyranny that has taken hold of our nations. We are living in a time when, like Elijah and Moses, prophets are poised to overthrow deadly political empires and their leaders. (The book is briefly at the introductory price of $2.99 before going to $7.95.)
Well, that's all from me today. Thank you again for joining my list. I'll be in touch again from time to time.
Your loves, as mine to you,
Abdiel
