Dear —
Here we are on the other side of time, though perhaps not of circumstance.
As an author, I love to take my readers (and audiobook listeners) on an imaginary journey. To usher you into the New Year, I here assemble for your viewing/listening pleasure a few free offerings that seem to fit with Dante's Divine Comedy. Click on the links below to see/hear.
Are you familiar with the three-part Divine Comedy? Dante's epic poem imagines his own descent into Inferno with the poet Virgil, then progressing to Purgatorio, and concluding with Dante's ascent into Paradiso with Beatrice.
For my Inferno part, I bring you two new videos.
The first, entitled Encendido, is a tribute to the amazing Tango orchestra, Orquesta Típica Fernandez Fierro, whom I met and befriended in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2016.
The second, A Virulent Vaccine, takes a deep look — though the lenses of Safety, Efficacy, Constitutionality, Morality, and Logic — at the sweetheart deal Pfizer and other big pharma companies are getting for bringing their puny Covid countermeasures to market.
Then, in the Purgatorio section, I bring you A Creative Genius. (It contains a few 'C-bombs'.) Dusted off from my days in stand-up comedy.
And for the concluding Paradiso section, there's Ezekiel's Vision, where I take you on an imaginary journey to the throne of God. (It may help to close your eyes for this one.)
Finally, if you missed this from my last email, my Christmas tributes to the (European) robin are proving extraordinarily popular.
Please feel free to share any of the above with others who will enjoy them.
Later this month, I'll be in touch again about my upcoming launch for the Verses Versus Empire Collection, covering in poetry and prose 20 years of corporate misrule under three imperial presidencies.
And, if you are a Kobo reader, you'll find my Epics Collection discounted to $2.99 this coming Friday and Saturday only.
OK, strapping in for 2021!
Cheers,
Abdiel
P.S. — This Readers List is in a state of transition for a few months, during which you may get similar or duplicate emails from me as I build reader groups that most closely match your interests. Please excuse any inconvenience in the meantime.
