Hello
The other day we decided to brave the rain and visit a National Trust place.
After all, what's the point of paying for a membership and not using it. And now that lockdown has ended, we can - yippee!
So off we trundled to Quarry Bank, right by Manchester Airport.
Whilst it rained we walked around this fascinating mill and watched the noisy machines clattering away.

It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours.
Eventually, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and all looked happy and bright.
[I'm about to burst into song, here, folks!]
So we checked out the gardens.
Isn't nature wonderful.
The incredible beauty of a simple flower.
And raindrops on a leaf.
Yep, those are the actual photos I took on the day.
If you've never been to a National Trust garden or building, I'd thoroughly recommend it.
We gained a lot from the day.
But my favourite was this plaque.
At last, my wife understands me!
Are you an engineer? Or do you know one? Can you relate to this?
