The Mist in the Garden, Book 1 of The Zodiac Files

With a professional psychic for a mother, Zodiac Jones is constantly hustling to avoid eviction, cops, and having to skip town. Again. She just wants to stay in one place long enough to get ahead so she can leave the supernatural con game behind and have a nice, normal life.

Jacob Starr a golden boy with a perfect image to uphold. But something calls to him from the abandoned house next door, something that knows his name. Something that rises at night, cold and mysterious. And it wants something from him.

When Zoey and her mother stumble into the sleepy resort town of Starvale, and Jacob, the rich son of the mayor, wants to pay Zoey to help him, who is she to say no (even if it means pretending that they’re a couple)? One more con to pay the rent.

But the deeper Zoey and Jacob dig, the more secrets they uncover. As they unbury dirty, dangerous mystery after mystery, Zoey is no longer sure what to believe. All she knows is she needs to keep her client safe.

If he's dead, who's going to pay her bill?

A supernatural thriller for teens perfect for fans of Stranger Things, Wednesday, Supernatural, and Lockwood&Co.

From the Writing Desk

San Francisco can't make up its mind. Going from heat wave to unseasonably cold, it's been a roller coaster this year.

For the first time in over a decade, I'll be away from SF during the City's favorite holiday of Halloween. Sad to miss it, but I have every faith the people of this lovely, vibrant city will party on without me. I'll be out East, visiting some specialists for my pesky heart issues. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I'll get some solid answers.

Have a great start to whatever end-of-year holidays you celebrate! If you're in the need of a good read for anyone who likes character-driven, heartfelt adventure that's content safe for any age, check out my other series...
