Something exciting happened in the last few days. I noticed one of my Medium articles was getting more and more views. I wrote it in February, so I was curious why the sudden increase in interest.

I jumped into the analytics and, after a bit of research, I realised the article is showing up on Google as a featured snippet. Nice! That means that whenever coaches search for content ideas on Google, my article comes up first on the search page.

Here is a screenshot I took (in incognito mode) so you can see what I'm talking about.

This is an article that is now attracting traffic from outside Medium. Fair enough, it took me a good few hours to put together, but the hard work is done and I am already seeing the benefits.

I'm fairly new to Medium compared to other writers on the platform, I don't publish as often as them (some do it every day, I do it once or twice a week) and I have a relatively low number of followers. Nevertheless, I use Medium in a way that works for my business and I will continue to do so as long as I see results.
