WD: business skills and money myths

Oct 09, 2020 8:16 pm

Hi

The weekend is finally here - what are your plans? Earlier this week I bought 4 books that I am excited to browse through, so I believe you can guess what I'll be doing.

If I find any of them worthy of reading I'll be sure to let you know. Until then, here is the weekly digest.

📢 It was World Teachers Day on Monday and I celebrated by saying thanks to my former teachers and giving a shout-out to all the teachers who have been doing a brilliant job since the pandemic started.

The post doesn't have much to do with money or business, but if you'd like to see the eight-year-old Alisa, go and have a snoop. Let me know if you can quickly find me in the photo.

🎥 When I was studying for my second coaching qualification and setting up my business at the same time, I quickly realised that my coaching skills were not enough to build a financially viable coaching business. This week's YouTube video focuses on the business skills any new coach needs if they want to make money with coaching. I call them money-making skills 💰.

📝Following a recent conversation with a client, I decided to address money myths again. These are widely held, but false, beliefs about money. I wrote about them and the detrimental effect they can have on our financial progress in this Medium article. Let me know how many of these myths you were aware of before you read the article, and if any have impacted your finances.

Enjoy this week’s content, and feel free to share it with other people if you think it might benefit them.

Until next time, stay savvy.

Alisa
