WD: lessons from motorbikes and janitors

Hey and happy Friday!

🏍 It's almost December and therefore too cold to ride a motorbike in the UK. So off it went in the garage to rest until spring. Not before taking the battery out, which was a pain in the backside. I wrote about it here - sometimes I publish posts that are more personal, but they usually have a business lesson attached to them. This one is no exception.

👩‍🏫 My 10-week signature programme with The Association for Coaching is swiftly coming to an end with only one more workshop to go. On Tuesday, I talked to the participants about one of the most important roles I play in my business: the role of the janitor. You can probably guess that I mean it as a metaphor, but if you're curious and would like to read about the other roles I play as a business owner (8 in total), check out this article.

📽 My latest YouTube video is about the things that I wish I knew before I started my business. These are things that I didn’t learn from books or courses but rather discovered as I progressed in my business.

Most of them highlight my own struggles, but it’s not all gloom, I promise. I have also included further resources if any of the things I mentioned is of interest and you’d like to learn more. Give it a watch and if you can relate to any of the things I share I'd love for you to reply to this email and let me know.

That's it for this week, , I hope you found it useful.

Until next time, stay savvy.

Alisa

P.S. If you have not had a chance to check out AppSumo yet, they have their Black Friday event on at the moment. Worth checking out if you're on a budget when it comes to buying tools and software for your business.
