Two sides to every coin

Morning

Yesterday afternoon I delivered a workshop about building a successful coaching business to a group of coaches who were mostly based in The Middle East. After I finished I had dinner with my partner and a glass of white wine.

No travel involved, no jetlag, no hassle. All from the comfort of my own home.

In October I spoke at a conference that is normally held in New York. Moving it online meant a wider array of speakers and more participants.

Later this month I'll participate in a virtual networking event with people from 3 continents. We saw each other in person last year at Thinkers50 in London, which involved a lot of travel and a significant expense for people outside the UK. This year we'll do it from our living rooms and we've even got cocktails delivered to our homes 🍸.

I won't go on, you see where I'm going with this.

The pandemic definitely didn't come as a blessing, but it has brought some good things with it. Which side of the coin we see (and focus on) is a choice, but that choice doesn't negate the existence of the other side of it.

Which side of the coin do you choose to focus on, ? Is that working well for you?

Here's a challenge: reply to this email and let me know what good things have come to you as a result of this pandemic.

I look forward to an influx of positivity in my inbox and, of course, to continuing this conversation with you.

Until next time, stay positive.

Alisa
