Before I started my business, my Black Friday purchases were spontaneous. I saved some money for the occasion and then went hunting for the perfect 'bargain': a handbag, over the knee boots, clothes, perfume, make-up, etc.

In the last 3 years I bought the following on Black Friday: my laptop, an external storage drive with a back-up option, my YouTube filming camera, my WordPress website theme and numerous software tools that I needed in my business.

This year I am hunting for a landing page software and a new business phone.

Oh, how things have changed...I went from browsing beauty and fashion websites to reading tech specifications in advance so I know what I'm looking for on the day.

I didn't realise the change until I started my Black Friday search yesterday, which always begins on AppSumo. If you're running a business and don't know about AppSumo, you're missing out.
