THE DIRTY MONTH OF MAY

This is a busy time of the year for me, so I’m going to keep this one a little brief. Or try to, anyway. I’ll probably fail that once I get cooking. For one, my son's birthdays are within a stone's throw of each other (April 23 and May 16) and my wife is one of those people that has to make it extra special. We kind of wind up with a birthday week thing, I guess. I’m sure some of you can relate. If not, I envy you. For two, I made the not-so-bright decision to put an addition on my cabin in the midst of the highest lumber prices in recent memory, all while trying to crank out another book. I’ll have more details on that book when I get a little closer. Anywho, feeling kind of ragged, bruhs.

Hey! At least we have every single weekend booked for the rest of the summer so I’ll be able to sit and relax a little, eh?

I know, I know. Losing a pretty sweet covered porch. That’s okay though. It helps keep costs down and I’ve got the material to tack on a low budget replacement once I’m done. Oh, what the heck! Here’s a few more:

It’s a work in progress. The end goal is more space and an actual flush toilet for my misses. She’s been asking for it for years. Wait… who’s that sneaking into the frame?
