Let's boogie on over to Throw Back Thursday where we'll have a groovy time flashing back to the late '60's & early '70s. I was too young to understand the summer of love in 1967, but I do remember it was a colorful time. For those growing up in the late '60's early '70's, you couldn't miss all the daisies and happy faces. Seems orange and yellow was the color of the time. In fact, my bedroom was those two colors. I wish I had a picture as I thought it was a cool room. It had gold and yellow foil wallpaper with orange leaf flocking. There is a story about that wallpaper and the two women (my grandma and mom) that painstakingly put it up for me. But I'll save that for another time. Sorry, I got sidetracked and forgot to mention this choker necklace pictured in this post. I have had this peace choker since the early '70s. I kept it safely tucked away because I love purple. I didn't wear it often because I didn't want it ruined. And look, it lasted decades and is as vibrant as the day I got it.
