Howdy y'all!

For those of you who didn't believe me when I said I was going to go watch the Lost City a second time, I did - and I loved it every bit as much as the first time. Most of that was down to the wonderful company of my bestie Emma - obvs. I'm totally going to end up owning it so I can watch it whenever I'm feeling a bit blah.

This weekend is US Mother's Day - and I know it's not a holiday that everyone enjoys celebrating, or even being reminded of - so I'll make this quick. Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas out there, whether that be kids, furbabies, bio babies or chosen fam, you are all amazing queens and I salute you all!

And for all of you out there who would give anything to be a mama, who have lost their moms, or who are estranged or having family difficulties, I have been there, I am there, and I am sending so many hugs your way. You are all amazing queens too, and if you need a reminder that it's okay to dislike the holiday, here's your permission. I'm thinking of you all.

Col and Lewis asked what I wanted to do on Mother's day, I have Carte Blanche. It's my friend's little boy's birthday party on Sunday morning, so I don't get a lie in, but I DID get us tickets to see Doctor Strange. And I am SO freakin' excited.

If you've read my books (particularly Two for Holding) you'll know I have a soft spot for Marvel. Okay, fine, I'm obsessed. To my utter shame I only began watching Marvel movies in 2020 during lockdown. My friend Liz had been grousing at me long enough to give them a shot and I became instantly hooked. They became my binkie during the pandemic, and I watched them almost daily with my son.

Anyway, long story short, I can't wait to see the new Doctor Strange - though we all know it's the new Thor movie in July that really has my attention...

Come. To. Mama.

What was I saying? Uh... oh yes, my books. That's why we're here, right? Not delicious Thor? *dreamy sigh*

It's probably high time for a quick update on where I'm at, right?

If you've already read Austin and Mackenzie in Two for Boarding, then I'm afraid you have a little waiting to do before you get your hands on Will and Quinn in Two for Tripping <- AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER NOW! It's coming out at the end of June. It's currently in edits and I'm hoping to have my cover and blurb to share with y'all real soon.

With the world opening up again here, I've started to venture outside a bit more. The past 2+ years of working in my bedroom has taken its toll and I've become a little too comfy in that space.

This past week or so, I've been actively pushing myself out the door, bringing my laptop with me to coffee shops, restaurants, and even the tyre place when I took my beloved Beitris to get some new shoes - to get out, to have a change of scenery, and to try to start assimilating back into 'real life'.

I'm currently working on book 6 of my Snow Pirate's series: Coach Swift's story, Two for Charging <- ALSO AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER. His heroine is Clare (Mackenzie's neighbor in Two for Boarding) and I'm about 16k words in. Y'all, she's a spitfire and I love her.

I'm also scribbling down plans for my next TWO series, Protocol (the BDSM club we discovered in Two for Boarding) and my next hockey series, the Raccoons where we're going to meet Molly's cheating ex from high school *gasp.*

While I'm stoked to start writing in new worlds, I'm not quite sure I'm ready to leave the Snow Pirates world just yet, so I'm going to guess there'll be another book or two beyond Coach Swift's - you'll just have to guess who it's gonna be when you read them.

Okay, I've procrastinated writing my next chapter enough and now you're all trapped in the longest newsletter in the entire world. So for now I'm going to reward you hanging in there by leaving you with this month's Bookaneers Book Club free hockey romance read. Don't forget to join my reader group on Facebook, Margaritas, Men and Mischief, to discuss the read throughout the month.
