LATEST NEWS & UPDATE:

Howdy from the Midwest, y'all.

I'm in (currently) sunny Keystone - we had a kick-ass thunderstorm overnight, and last week it rained a lot - but right now it's kinda perfect. Just what the doctor ordered for a burned out author.

I have a couple orders of business before I get to the good stuff.

First, I'll be sending you weekly emails again until after Pen and Tate release in mid June. I'm planning on doing a cover and blurb reveal, and a couple of sneak peeks at the first few chapters. I will say, from a business perspective, Pen and Tate need a substantial influx of preorders to make this series worth my time to finish. So, if you're bursting for Artemis and Athena's stories - get preordering for Pen and Tate.

Second, I forgot what number two was, but I'm sure I'll circle back. If not, tune in next week to see what the hell I forgot to say to y'all.

My dudes, it's been a wild AF ride this past 10 days. I missed the first day of my trip because of a snafu with TSA at Dublin airport. I was detained, questioned, and eventually escorted out of secondary interrogation by two TSA agents.

It was a fucking trip.

When I finally made it out alive, I cried at my husband and my ten year old - who very quickly asked if I'd been given an ankle monitor.

He's funny like his mama.

Iowa, on the other hand, has been delightful as always. I'm going to give you a little snapshot diary of the key pieces of my travels.

Up first, I went to Rock108, an Eastern Iowan radio station to visit my friend Brian. He had me co-host the show, and I was there for the whole 3 hours. If you'd like to listen to the interview - no adverts, no music - you're going to want to go here.

I had my first book launch party and signing event at HEA Book Boutique in Marion, Iowa. Jenn, the lovely lady who owns the store, stocks my books and made it such an enjoyable experience.

Saturday, I went up to Northwood, Iowa to attend my first ever author signing. It blew my fucking mind, y'all. A bunch of you came out to get books signed, buy new books, and some of you even brought me gifts that shredded my heart and made me super emotional. I am so grateful and lucky, and I can't thank you all enough.

The afterparty for the North Iowa Book Bash was a pirate party and my friends made me dress like a pirate. So. That happened.

The next day was Cinco de Mayo and my nieces 15th birthday party - which could only have meant one thing. Tequila shots, margaritas, and a server who kept walking around the restaurant free-pouring tequila into our glasses.

For her birthday, my niece Averie wanted to play her new games. And I'm a steamy romance author. So this also happened.

Those are the highlights of my trip so far, almost arrested, radio host, bookish events, pirates, tequila. Not bad going, eh?

For those of you who pray, or believe in a higher power, could I request some good thoughts, prayers, and juju for my nephew AJ this coming Thursday please? He has a heart cath in the University of Iowa, and we REALLY need some good news for this little guy.

I also want to take a hot minute to thank each and every one of you who have read, enjoyed, and reviewed Jagger and Talia's book, Obey, book 3 in the Protocol series.

For those of you who haven't read it, you should totally go do that.

Until Thursday,

Have you joined my reader group yet? If not, then head over to: Margaritas, Men and Mischief with Lasairiona. As the name suggests, it's a place for my readers to chat about all things romance - with a healthy dose of sarcasm, sharp wit, conversations comprised entirely of GIFs, sneak peeks, giveaways and a plethora of memes. It's one of my absolute favorite places on the internet and I'm really enjoying getting to know readers that bit better over there. Don't be shy - we don't bite... much! Come on over!

Justin

I thought I’d left my past in Minnesota when I moved to Iowa, but it was right there waiting for me.

Long blonde hair, curves in all the right places, and a death glare that hits harder than a slap shot to the solar plexus. On the ice, I’m a pro at blocking shots, but Savannah Bowen has slipped behind all my defenses and made a home in my heart.

I had no intention of revisiting the past, but when she’s damn near everywhere I go, I’m a goner.

Savannah

Hell freakin’ no.

It doesn’t matter that Justin Ashe is seven feet tall and sexy as sin, or that I’ve had a crush on him for years. He cheated on my best friend in high school, and that makes him off limits.

I can’t be with him, but damn, it’s impossible to stay away from him. Girl Code says uteruses before duderuses.

He’s supposed to be my enemy, but the more I see of him, the blurrier the lines get.

Bookish. Bold. Beautiful. And entirely out of his league.

On paper, all-American boy next door, Lincoln Scott, has it all. But behind his slap shots, straight-A report card, and easy going charm, Linc hides a secret only his best friend knows.

When he attempts to return a misplaced bra, a wrong number gets him way more than the hook-up he bargained for. No one has ever looked beyond the star hockey player, until the mysterious woman he can’t stop texting sees him for who he really is.

Does Linc have the skills off the ice to keep up with her? Will he follow in his father’s footsteps? Or will he step out from the shadows and chase his dreams?

If you’re pucking obsessed with Helena Hunting, Pippa Grant, and Elle Kennedy, you’ll love this hilarious, hot-as-puck, secret identity, opposites attract, curvy girl sports romance.
