LATEST NEWS & UPDATE:

Y'all. I don't know which way is up right now.

It's May 4th, which means it's not only the day before one of my favorite holidays - CHIPS AND QUESO AND MARGARITA DAY (AKA Cinco de Mayo) but that also means that next week, book two in my new series, the Cedar Rapids Raccoons, Pulling the Goalie drops into Kindles and y'all can finally get to meet the youngest of the de la Pena brood, Ares, and his girl, Eloise.

This book put me through my paces. Poor Ares has a lot going on with him, and he's setting the stage for the rest of his three siblings to get their books. The twins Apollo (book 3) and Artemis (book 5) and reader favorite Athena (book 7) all feature heavily in Ares's book, and I have to say, I'm living for their family dynamic. It is unfolding differently to how I imagined it last year when I started plotting the series, but I'm loving their vibe.

From the writer cave, May sees book 3 Crashing the Net heading to Editor Jess for the last pass at heavy edits. For those of you who haven't read the blurb yet - you might want to hold onto your hats, it's a doozie!

She’s lost her mobility, her career, and her dreams... Can she risk losing her heart to her best friend as well?

Edith:

In the blink of an eye, everything I’ve worked my whole life to achieve is gone, maybe forever. I’m not prepared to accept that I’ll never dance again. It’s all I’ve ever known, and I’m scared to find out who I am without it.

The only person still in my corner is my hockey playing, son-of-a-billionaire best friend, but no amount of money can help me walk again. His intentions are admirable, but I can’t risk falling for him.

What if I lose him, too?

Apollo:

Waking up after a near fatal car crash, I realized I’ve been in love with Edith for as long as I’ve known her.

Nothing matters anymore. Nothing but my beautiful, smart, funny best friend who is convinced we’re doomed to fail.

Money can solve a lot of problems, but not this one.

How can I persuade her to take a chance on me, on us, when she’s lost so much already?

I KNOW, RIGHT? Honestly? This couple may be my favorite that I've ever written. Or at least they come pretty damn close.

I've also broken the seal on getting words down for my September release, Control, book 1 in the Protocol series which will be published under the penname Lasairiona Lewis.

So basically, I'm busy AF, freaking out about Ares, Apollo, and Thor all in one go. But it'll all come good, it always does. And once I get Thor and Adi written, then I get to start working on next year's releases - and I can tell you, I have some corkers in store for y'all!!!

Tell me this: what is a trope or two you'd love to see me tackle in an upcoming release?

Until next time,

As the name suggests, it's a place for my readers to chat about all things romance - with a healthy dose of sarcasm, sharp wit, conversations comprised entirely of GIFs, sneak peeks, giveaways and a plethora of memes. It's one of my absolute favorite places on the internet and I'm really enjoying getting to know readers that bit better over there. Don't be shy - we don't bite... much! Come on over!

Justin

I thought I’d left my past in Minnesota when I moved to Iowa, but it was right there waiting for me.

Long blonde hair, curves in all the right places, and a death glare that hits harder than a slap shot to the solar plexus. On the ice, I’m a pro at blocking shots, but Savannah Bowen has slipped behind all my defenses and made a home in my heart.

I had no intention of revisiting the past, but when she’s damn near everywhere I go, I’m a goner.

Savannah

Hell freakin’ no.

It doesn’t matter that Justin Ashe is seven feet tall and sexy as sin, or that I’ve had a crush on him for years. He cheated on my best friend in high school, and that makes him off limits.

I can’t be with him, but damn, it’s impossible to stay away from him. Girl Code says uteruses before duderuses.

He’s supposed to be my enemy, but the more I see of him, the blurrier the lines get.
