Who else is baking up a storm?

Howdy y'all!
I can't believe it's newsletter time again already! Can time both drag and go super-duper-fast all at the same time? I feel like that's where we're at right now. We're back in lockdown here in Costa Del Larne and not that you can tell from my ever-sunshiny demeanor, but I'm pretty mad about it.
So, what am I doing with all this extra time to be at one with myself - I hear you ask. Well, baking... round 3,492 of course.
I know some people are bettering themselves in lockdown, taking up yoga or at-home workouts with Joe Wicks in their living rooms, and some people are going for long, cathartic walks in the bitter cold and rain (it's October in Ireland guys, it's pretty cold) but I - to the surprise of absolutely no one - am not one of them.
Instead, I'm baking.
It's my author bestie's birthday today (Happy Birthday, Bitchface!) and yesterday I arrived at her doorstep in tears (granted I had a bag of baked treats and presents with me too, but: tears). She's been my friend for over a decade and I don't think we've really seen each other cry. She's not a hugger, and the feels make her uncomfortable, but she did what any great bestie would do and ushered me in out of the cold, fed me biscuits, tea, chatted about whatever I needed to chat about and put Friends on for the LOLZ. Other than that, I'm neck deep in work. I'm doing a bunch of different things. I have two anthologies I'm working on, Jeremy's second book Let Me Love You is in edits right now and I'm bubbling with ideas for his third book, I just need the kiddo to go back to school so I have the breathing room to get the words out.
