Howdy, y'all,

I need to write and schedule this newsletter before my assistant, Alyssa, slaps me - and not in a fun way. Or worse, quits. OMG don't even joke, y'all!!

November is turning out to be an emotionally challenging month for me, (piggy backing on the tiredness that I carried over from October) - it usually is somewhat tougher, with my father's anniversary closer to December, but with some health stuff going on, I've had a few medical phone calls, appointments, and lashings of anxiety trying to bring me down.

All the while Artemis and Xavier are bringing their chaotic evil energy to my day-to-day and possessing me until I write their story.

Being estranged from most family and being far away from much local support, it makes things like this even more trying. (See also: needing to sort out care for my 11 year old the day before/overnight/the day of my procedure.) It's a lot of moving plates, and as my work wifey Clare says, "There's a lot of juggling, and you're not a clown."

It's a weird juxtaposition, having a fire in my belly for work after a long period of being frozen, while simultaneously being anxious and awaiting a procedure in my personal life. I guess one will help me through the other, right?

Anyway, if you're in my reader group, you might have noticed that I (accidentally!!!) prematurely shared Fly-Half's cover when I updated my banner. I didn't mean to. I just got shiny new graphics, and as is often par for the course for me, (and my sister, I think it's a Curran thing) I couldn't hold my water and just changed it without even thinking about the fact I was supposed to do things right with this release. A very serious cover reveal across socials, like a grown-up author.

*face fucking palm*

Honestly, I did it such a disservice because I threw it out there without so much as a trumpet fanfare and then a few short hours later posted a teaser for Artemis and Xavier (have you seen it yet?!)

This cover is gorgeous. I've had it for a while, and I've barely managed to keep it to myself. Christiana did such a glorious job on it that I printed it out and framed it on my wall along with the Protocol art she's done for me for my other pen name.

It's getting close to chapter 1 teaser newsletter for Robert and Rhiannon, and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for this book. I busted my backside to write it, then busted it all over again to edit it, not once, but a few times, and now? Now I'm just ready for y'all to read it.
