How goes the month of October? Can you believe *whispers* Christmas is right around the corner? I can't. That said, I started my *whispers* Christmas shopping last month in St. Pete's while I was in town for a conference. I was disappointed at the offerings from the outlets but that may be more to do with the abysmal exchange rate than anything else right now.

The conference itself was life altering. Y'all... it was so much fun. I didn't get as much time on that white sandy beach as I wanted to, but I also didn't burn like a lobster in the sun, so we're calling it a major win. I don't do well when I burn to a crisp and blister.

My trip to Novelists Inc. (aka: NINC) in September was something I had to actually qualify for, y'all. It wasn't just a case of buying a ticket and going to the conference, you had to actually earn your space, and this is the first ever year I've qualified. It was such a special moment for me, and I can't wait to go back next year! (Manifest that shiz, y'all!!)

I roomed with my author wifey Tracie Delaney, and she didn't murder me in my sleep - so we're calling that a win as well! ;)
