What. A. Month. June was wild.

I have SO many things to tell you about, but I'll start by telling you about my author wives trip to Greece first, because that's where I typed 'The End' on my first draft of my upcoming rugby romance release.

I celebrated my 40th back in February. One of my 'things' for this year was that I wanted to travel more. I used to be quite the travel bug, but since we moved back to NI after our decade of being expats abroad, I just haven't had the disposable income to make it happen.

This year, it was a priority. I wanted to take my family on our first vacation since 2019, and when I suggested going away to my author wives for my #FeralForty, they were only too keen to have an author retreat in Rhodes.

The resort was less than impressive (and definitely not the 4* it claims to be), but hanging with the women I love, creative brains and energies coming together was everything.

I wrote about 15k words of rugby romance, plotted my next work-in-progress hockey romance, and did final edits on my upcoming release under Lasairiona Lewis (an early September release - so keep an eye out!)

I literally ate a chicken gyro every single day for lunch. I absolutely love Greek food, and I was ever the tourist and devoured the gyros station every day LOL!

And every night we'd have a tequila sunrise and watch the sun set over Türkiye. To be honest, I'm mostly proud about the fact that I didn't get sunburned despite the fact that Rhodes was hotter than Satan's ball sack.

Once I'm done with my halloween hockey short, I'll be working on The Phantoms book 2... Harry and Megan's story... It's called The Rival Bet, it's MMF (Male/Male/Female), and as you can tell from the title, there's going to be a little drama with Harrison and a rival hockey player!

All I wanted was to save the coastal resort that has been in our family for generations. Little did I expect the buyer would be the NHL player who my clique picked on in high school.
