LATEST NEWS & UPDATE:

Howdy, y'all,

I feel like I'm saying this more than usual this year, but man, 2025 is in a rush to be done. Where did September go?

Only a few short weeks ago I was panicking over my kid starting 'big school,' and now it feels like he's been there for years. I'm so proud of how well he's adapted to life as a secondary school student, in truth, he did better than I did, despite the fact he's had a few wobbles here and there.

What's your favourite time of year? The 'Ber' months are always my favourite, hoodies and hats, hot chocolate, and hockey season always make me happy. There's nothing more satisfying than a bite in the air and a crunch of leaves underfoot.

I took more of the summer off than I had originally intended, but I decided that since it was one of the last precious few summers where my son would willingly spend time with me, that I'd wring every single ounce of joy with him that I could.

For September, I had big plans to get back in the swing of things. Fly-Half needed a solid developmental edit, and I needed to move the needle on a few other things, but thankfully with little stress, and I'd allotted more time than I needed to, to cover my back.

Last week, I got to see my author wives, Tracie Delaney (yes, my coauthor for my most recent release, Stolen Rival) and Clare Sager - they both came over to Belfast for a launch party.

Despite having so many books out, the number of launch parties I've had is... well, two. I had a party for Resist in Marion, Iowa last year, and now I've had a launch party for Stolen Rival.

It was so much fun, and the vibes were VIBING, y'all! We had cake, and prosecco, we had live music, and cake, and the most beautiful special editions of Patrick and Sorcha's story arrived in time for readers to get their hands on them. And did I mention the cake? Because: CAKE!

I'm taking some time to recover from the airport runs (400 miles in 4 days which has made my back a little cranky,) the additional peopling, and the tiredness that comes post-new-release, and I'm now ready to kick October in the nuts and get shit done.
