For those of you who remember August and Rowan they were released last year under the name Poke Check, in a Christmas Anthology as a 12k word short story. I have more than doubled the word count for them (they're up at 32k words now!) and fleshed them out a little (lot). It's still a spicy, quick, short little thing, but I wasn't happy with the short and felt it needed a little something something. Hopefully I landed it. I guess we'll see!
